The Second International Oxford Muslim Music Festival
This unrivalled assembly of Muslim artists and musicians from around the Islamic world (Algeria, Gambia, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, United Kingdom and Yemen) will perform a wide range of distinctive religious tunes, sacred music, liturgical songs and devotional chants that is guaranteed to uplift the spirit and nourish the soul. Come, see, hear and appreciate the magic of global Muslim music!
This international function will showcase all that is good and great about Islamic arts and civilisation. So, give yourself a special treat and be ready to enjoy an evening of rhythmic beauty and rapturous joy. An evening where mystical, enchanting and moving music from the Muslim world will take you to another plane, to a higher level of artistic appreciation and musical accomplishment.
Delectable dishes and favourite foods from Muslim lands will also be on offer (for a small additional cost) as the perfect accompaniment to this remarkable occasion. There will also be stalls selling books, merchandise and souvenirs from the Islamic world.
